Kitchen refurbishments
This kitchen's owner wanted a refurbishment. The kitchen cabinets themselves did not need replacing. A new worktop was installed, new tiles, new sink, and the ceiling and walls were re-painted, with new replacement light fittings installed. The old tile floor was cleaned and restored to look like new.
What I don't do ...
I don't do major electrical works, anything that requires a gas engineer, roofing, plastering / rendering, or extensions ... but I am happy to consider most other works, and will always let you know what I can and can't do, and commit to get back to you as soon as possible with answers to your enquiries.
I had to find someone to dig out and replace my concrete fence post following an incident with a reversing lorry ... I contacted Lee Smith who looked and gave what I thought was a realistic cost plus materials. The transport company accepted his price and the post was replaced a few days later. The area was left clean and tidy. Quite happy to recommend Lee from my experience.

We used Build for Living because Lee is trusted not only to do a good job but also to be given access to our home whether we are there or not. The loft boarding undertaken is excellent, done at a good price, and I'm sure we'll be using him again for future jobs.

Lee recently replaced two non-standard doors and sanded down a large area of gloss-painted wooden banisters for us. These were tasks we had struggled to complete ourselves. He was flexible around our work-from-home schedules and handled what turned out to be a larger project than expected with transparency and fairness. Lee's professional approach and tidying each day made a big difference.

We found there were several jobs that needed to be done at home. I found Lee to be competitively priced, he is reliable, trustworthy, pays attention to detail, and commits to a high quality of work. All this coupled with him working around a busy household made him the obvious choice. Thank you Lee!

Lee is a hardworking and skilled craftsman. He has done two jobs so far, for me and our church - restoration of a sandstone step, worn down by centuries of wear, and rebuilding of a stone wall around our war memorial. Lee has a great personality and will be timely, tidy, and meticulous, as well as respectful.
